Responsibilities:
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with development, operations, and other IT teams to automate and streamline processes.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate new applications and solutions.
Infrastructure Management:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Automation and Configuration Management:
- Develop automation scripts for provisioning and managing infrastructure.
- Use configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible to manage configurations and deployments.
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Ensure automated testing and deployment of applications to production environments.
Monitoring and Logging:
- Implement monitoring solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Set up logging systems with tools like ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or Splunk.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.
Incident Management and Troubleshooting:
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Participate in on-call rotations to handle production incidents and ensure minimal downtime.
Performance Optimization:
- Analyze system performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements.
- Optimize application and system performance through tuning and scaling.
Qualifications:
- Cloud Computing: Proficiency with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Scripting and Programming: Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Travis CI.
- Configuration Management: Proficiency in tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
- Containerization: Experience with Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Monitoring and Logging: Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios) and logging tools (ELK Stack, Splunk).
- Version Control: Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps Engineer.
