Job Brief

We seek a dynamic and creative DevOps Engineer to join our marketing team. The Social Media Evangelist will develop, implement, and manage our organization’s social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engage with our target audience, and drive meaningful interactions across various social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with development, operations, and other IT teams to automate and streamline processes.
  • Collaborate with developers to integrate new applications and solutions.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

Automation and Configuration Management:

  • Develop automation scripts for provisioning and managing infrastructure.
  • Use configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible to manage configurations and deployments.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):

  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Ensure automated testing and deployment of applications to production environments.

Monitoring and Logging:

  • Implement monitoring solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Set up logging systems with tools like ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or Splunk.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.

Incident Management and Troubleshooting:

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to handle production incidents and ensure minimal downtime.

Performance Optimization:

  • Analyze system performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Optimize application and system performance through tuning and scaling.

Qualifications:

  • Cloud Computing: Proficiency with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Scripting and Programming: Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Travis CI.
  • Configuration Management: Proficiency in tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
  • Containerization: Experience with Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios) and logging tools (ELK Stack, Splunk).
  • Version Control: Experience with version control systems like Git.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps Engineer.
